These croutons are very easy and inexpensive to make. Can be used to top green salads and garnish soup. Good way to use up stale bread too.

These croutons are very easy and inexpensive to make. Can be used to top green salads and garnish soup. Good way to use up stale bread too.

Ingredients
 

  • 15 slices bread, , preferably white bread
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat oven to 175 degrees C.
    • Remove crusts from stale bread slices. Brush bread with melted butter on both sides. Cut bread slices into small cubes. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Arrange cubes on ungreased pan.
    • Bake for 15 mins or until golden brown and crispy. Let cool. Store croutons in a covered container.
