These croutons are very easy and inexpensive to make. Can be used to top green salads and garnish soup. Good way to use up stale bread too.

Cuisine: Baking

Ingredients

  • 15 slices bread, , preferably white bread
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 175 degrees C.
    • Remove crusts from stale bread slices. Brush bread with melted butter on both sides. Cut bread slices into small cubes. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Arrange cubes on ungreased pan.
    • Bake for 15 mins or until golden brown and crispy. Let cool. Store croutons in a covered container.

Enjoy!

This is a serving of salads top with the crunchy homemade croutons. My hubby’s favourite!
