Ginger Sugar Syrup is extremely simple to make at home. This sugary syrup is infused with fragrance of fresh ginger, with a bit of heat. Great for dessert and to spice up any drink.
Have ready all ingredients needed to make ginger sugar syrup.
Tie pandan leaves into a knot. Skinned and slightly crushed the peeled ginger.
Cooking Ginger Sugar Syrup:
Add the sugar, water and crushed ginger into a small saucepan and cook over medium low heat. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat to low and allow to simmer for another 20 minutes. Remove pandan leaves and crushed ginger.
Remove from heat and strain the ginger sugar syrup. Leave to cool. Then transfer into a storing jar and keep refrigerated till needed.
This ginger sugar syrup is great served as a sweet soup in desserts.
