Welcome To My Blog!

by Angie Liew

Hi, welcome to my blog! I am Angie Liew. My best friends and family members fondly call me Gaik Huang! (translated from Jade .. My grandfather gave this name to me). Hence, welcome to Huang’s Kitchen!

My daughter, Miko created this blog for me as she knows I enjoy and have great passions in cooking and baking.  I am proud to say that all the recipes here have already been tried and tested.  Even the photos of all the recipes are created and taken in my own kitchen.

I like experimenting different types of cooking in my beautiful yet luxurious kitchen planned and designed by my hubby Hee Chang just for me with the help of Ikea. Sometimes I get my inspirations from my second sister Mui Khin (pronounced as US$ in Teochew) who also has great passions in cooking.

Of course, all my cookings are first hand tested by my hubby who is very supportive in my cooking ventures. He frequently gives me very constructive comments. This really helps me to enhance the quality of whatever I bake or cook to near perfections.
Last but not least credit also goes to my maid Siti of 18 years who acts as my assistant / helper in all my cooking ventures. Without her my cookings may not be such a breeze.

I also frequently bake and cook for charity. I really love to bake for my friends and relatives who hold charitable events and fundraising for the poor in our neighborhood and community. My ambition is to be able to contribute more to charity through my bakings and cookings in a BIG way.
